Lecrae and Zaytoven’s “Get Back Right” Chosen for NFL’s Songs of the Season
Lecrae and Zaytoven’s “Get Back Right,” taken from their collaborative album Let the Trap Say Amen, has been selected for the NFL’s Songs of the Season. The Grammy-winning rapper is the third musician to be selected for the series, and will play throughout the NFL playoffs through the season.
“Throughout my entire career, I have always hoped that my music would inspire and uplift,” Lecrae said of the announcement. “It is an amazing honor to partner with the NFL and its Inspire Change initiative to combine our platforms to change the communities we call home.”
Previous selections for the series include SASH’s “What Would a Champion Do?” and “Black Savage” by Royce da 5’9″.
Revenue generated from the series will go toward the league’s Inspire Change intiative, which helps with criminal justice reform and other social justice causes. Speaking about the announcement on Good Morning Football, Lecrae said he was “honored” to be involved.
“The ‘Songs of the Season’ initiative is just one of the ways we shine a light on the great work NFL players and clubs continue to do as it relates to social justice,” said NFL’s Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility Anna Isaacson. “An award-winning musician and adamant social justice supporter such as Lecrae is a perfect pairing for ‘Songs of the Season’ and will help amplify the great work being done in our communities.”
Lecrae is busy working his next studio album, Restoration, which will be joined by the release of his next book, I Am Restored.
